Vintage Danish Engraving

In addition to all things Graphic, I am a lover of Printmaking in all its forms, and whenever I find any old good quality etchings, engravings, screen prints etc. I nearly always buy them. I’m currently setting up a store to attach to this blog where I will be selling some of my finds. Printmaking was one of my majors at Art School many years ago, and I have loved the craft ever since.

This piece I found in a garage sale in a battered old frame. I loved the linework and detail in it – obviously drawn by someone who was an expert in their Craft. It has the date of 1914, obviously Scandinavian – Danish or Swedish – and has the name Max Kleinsorg at the bottom – but I’m not sure if that is the Artist or the Printer.
