Laszlo Buday

I couldn’t leave the Flickr pages of Oliver Thomas I featured in the previous post, without posting some of the superb covers of The Canadian Architect Magazine. The examples below from Oliver’s Flickr stream were all designed by Laszlo Buday, and are from the 1960′s.

Buday was Hungarian born and migrated to Canada in 1957, and I believe now lives in Florida. Buday is a multi-talented Artist and Designer whose other work includes some superb architectural stained glass and the first image below, called “night sky” – an amazing modernist copper mural at the Institute for Aerospace Studies in California, designed in the 1970′s.
